Abbey turned 1 this weekend, and had the party to rock all parties!! And what did I do? I made her a funny hat, that’s what. :D

Now, it’s time for Mommy to work on a write up of the last year with AbbeyDabbeyDo!

Holy shmoly Abs is almost 1!!! She’s been crawling like nobody’s business and is walking with her walking toy. I’ve got to figure out a good way to update her movie clips, since now I take them ALL the time. Maybe put up a youtube channel? I’ll work on that... Meanwhile, I’ve been making hats and using Abs as a model. I think she does a pretty good job, don’t you??

Long overdue update??

Wow. Okay, see, apparently having a baby means that you have *no* time to do anything... Particularly keep Abbey’s fans updated on what she’s doing! Abs is 8 months old now, and is definitely becoming her own person. She sits up, babbles (yayaya, dadada, mamama, t-t-t) plays independently, has 2 teeth, and NAPS! That’s right, Abbey NAPS!!! Some of you may know that Abs didn’t nap until recently, and this has been life changing for me. I’m able to nap, and sometimes even do things like unload the dishwasher! :D I guess I’d better get on with things like updating her photo albums, eh? ;)

This pic is of Abbey in my folks sink in New Hampshire. We go up every few weeks where Abs gets to go swimming with Grandma, one of her favorite activities! She also loves to play Peek-A-Boo, but my mom seems to be the only person who can get her rolling laughing... I’m working on it! But, who can compete with Grandma??

Today, Abbey was napping so well in the car I decided to make a pit stop at Webs (which is a yarn store, and wholesale warehouse. Their online store is yarn.com) to pick up a little bit of yarn for another baby project. When I was checking out, I casually mentioned something to the checkout girl about being there for the big sale while I was pregnant. She asked if I was the one who had the crib full of yarn, and had to get it out before the baby came? I told her that was me, and she said, “Oh my god, I tell everyone that story! That’s the best thing I’ve ever heard from a customer!” She called over one of the other girls who works there and said, “Hey, remember the pregnant customer with the yarn in the crib?” She said she totally did. “Well, there’s the baby!” They wanted to know if I had a pic of the yarn filled crib, but I don’t think I do...

I’m a bit late to the game here, but my hope is to be able to post updates on a regular basis. Along the way, I’ll try and put together some pages with things like Abbey’s birth story and the medical stuff we dealt with when we came home. (Note how yellow she is in the first few albums!)
